To think it is now June!
I'm happy to say that I'm feeling a lot better now and have been for the last few days. April and May and part of June were pretty much a total loss in terms of being able to do anything but manage the basics.
I've been doing the whole spring cleaning thing and my kitchen is finally starting to look good again. One of these days, though, I am going to rip the carpet up and replace it with lino or something more appropriate for a kitchen. Who carpets a kitchen!?! (Apparently, the people who lived in our house before us.) It's stained and there's a large burn mark on it, and Socks has peed on it, and cats have vomited on it, and goodness knows what else. The people who lived in our house before us also carpeted the bathroom and we ripped that up years ago, but the kitchen is a bit more difficult to deal with.
I've also been very busy selling stuff on eBay! It's Pride month, so my pride flags have been flying out the door (I'm literally selling like 10 a day! It's awesome!) and there's been other stuff too. My mother-in-law's yarn stash has done particularly well. As sad as it is to have to sell her things, I'm glad they're going to people who will hopefully use and appreciate them, and earning me a bit of money at the same time.
We're still waiting on the settlement of her estate. Not sure if it's due to pandemic or what but it's taking forever.
In terms of fandom stuff, I've been watching Loki and have enjoyed it very much so far!
I've also been watching The Untamed, which is a Chinese fantasy tv show, available on Netflix. All the men are so, so pretty, and I'm shipping Wei Wuxian/Lan Wangji (Wangxian) very very hard, and did so from literally the first scene in the show (I understand that they are canon in the novel, but due to Chinese censorship, their relationship is restricted to very unsubtle subtext in the show). A lot of people I know from Silm fandom got into this show a couple of years ago and I can see why. I'm enjoying taking my time with it, watching not more than one episode per day, and just appreciating all the beautiful scenery, the graceful and majestic fighting styles, and just how gloriously beautiful everyone is. Pretty raven-haired men flying around wearing white robes with long flowing sleeves? Yes please!

…The previous owners carpted a kitchen. My head hurts.
Loki is definitely enjoyable, though the second half of the second episode gave me a bit of anxiety because hurricanes.

This does sound wonderful 😏

I think your mother-in-law would appreciate her craft stash going to people who want it. The old ladies who run the Op Shop in my town always take all the crafting stuff when somebody goes to aged care or passes on, and it always sells fast to other crafters.

I once lived in a studio apartment where the whole thing was carpeted including the kitchen. Would not recommend!
Ooh, I'm glad you're enjoying The Untamed! Wei Wuxian/Lan Wangji are indeed very shippable. And this show has some gorgeous costumes and scenery--that's one of the things I enjoy about historical/fantasy Asian dramas. (And yes, also a very pretty cast!)

And ew, carpeted kitchen and bathroom? That feels wrong for so many reasons and my brain is struggling to compute
