What I generally love to see in fanworks:

Loyalty and genuine devotion.
Meaningful sacrifice.
When repressed emotion comes out, especially if it's about love that the character thinks is unrequited but turns out to be requited.
A strong sense of love and caring.
Hope in the midst of despair.
Endearments and affection.
Desperate need or longing for love (that is then provided).
Rescues from the brink of death.
Eucatastrophe (the opposite of catastrophe - a sudden joyous turn in a story).
Quarrels and fights, high emotional stakes and risks, passion raging out of control, desperation, and sudden impulses.
Canon-divergence! (Especially Fëanorians Win AUs.)
Meeting someone for the first time and feeling an instant kinship with them.
Loyalty or devotion to a cause or a person.
Working together like a well-oiled machine.
Battlefield friendships.
Enemies working together to defeat a common greater enemy (then figuring out that they aren't really enemies anymore).
Admiring someone's skill or competence.
Compassion, mercy, and pity as themes.
Geopolitics, maps, layouts of houses and lands.
Art or fic inspired by my own fic: remixes, fanart, based on, using the same plotline, etc.

For art: Visual depictions of any of the prompts would be really good - I've tried to give prompts that can be depicted as art in some way. But mainly I'm interested to see your vision of the setting and the characters. I am utterly indifferent to conventional beauty standards and would in fact prefer to see age lines where appropriate, as well as people of varying sizes, shapes, and skin tones.

I absolutely adore maps and architecture; I draw clumsy layouts of houses and lands when I need to visualise where in a space people might be, and I would love anything you can come up with -- a layout of Himring, a map of Rivendell, architectural plans for Bag End, etc, etc.

I'm especially interested in art as character study: what a character wears, carries, is using, is doing, says so much about who they are as a person.

If you'd like to draw me smuttier art, I love suggestive clothing just as much as full nakedness and am always on board for one partner being fully clothed while the other one is naked. I love rumpled garments, clothing half off, blissful expressions on faces, arms around each other, hard nipples on men and women, erections for men, women who are visibly wet. I adore hair - long hair on heads, underarm hair, beards where relevant, women with muff. I would be in the seventh heaven to receive art depicting any scene from my own fic.

Regarding romance/sex:
I love kink and smut! I'm cool with any kind of ship: poly relationships, het, femslash, and slash, as well as of course solo masturbation and sex that doesn't really fall into the above categories at all. I'm cool with underage as long as all parties have been through puberty, and I adore teacher/student dynamics or situations where the parties involved have unequal levels of power (especially if it's Complicated). Loyalty kink is my FAVE, and I like it to be mutual.

For BDSM specifically, I prefer mind or power games to whips and chains, or alternatively, playful experimentation rather than Serious BDSM Is Serious. Dubious consent can also be fun to play with, especially somnophilia or scenarios that involve sex pollen or being forced to have sex by a third party. I love seeing characters so mutually overwhelmed by desire that they can't resist each other. I have no real boundaries when it comes to kink or sex acts (other than my DNWs) and will happily read anything, though I particularly enjoy:

For ships involving only men: auto-anal and auto-fellatio, rimming, watersports, comeplay of all kinds, nipple sucking (especially ritualised), intercrural sex, frottage (especially clothed frottage including coming in pants), and lovingly described blowjobs. Anal sex is good too, but I prefer it not be considered the be-all and end-all of sex between men.

For ships involving only women: cunnilingus, any kind of anal play, especially rimming, strap-on play, nipple play, and tribadism.

For ships involving a man and a woman: Cunnilingus, vaginal sex, anal sex. I like it when the pair are either both equally in control or the woman is but that doesn't necessarily mean she has to be on top. (Not a fan of het fic where the man is totally in control and the woman is virginal and sort of swept away by him.)

For threesomes/moresomes involving men and women: femdom, pegging, cunnilingus, especially queening, vaginal sex, and submissive men getting tied up.

And then, there are some things I don't love and would rather not see in fic:

Outright rape/noncon, torture, or extreme physical or mental suffering.

A focus on sickness or illness, or pregnancy and babies (except where specifically requested). Ok to mention these things as they are part of life, but I don't want a fic all about them.

Extreme, out-of-character, romantic angst or miscommunication. If the problem keeping the lovers apart can be solved with one straightforward conversation, then it's gone too far. Legitimate misunderstanding or miscommunication is entirely fine.

For smut: scat, vomiting, heavy BDSM like ritualised whipping or beating.

Homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, racism, sexism or the effects thereof as a major part of the story.

Character-bashing. Don't do it to any character, but especially not to the Fëanorians. I love them and want them to be happy.

Redemption, sorrow for "sin," angsting forever by the seaside, the Valar being right and good in everything they do, and characters needing to suffer for the things they've done.

I haven't had time to add prompts for everything yet, I'll be adding these in over the next couple of days. Prompts are optional; if you get another idea, just run with it!

The Silmarillion and other histories of Middle-earth: gen and single character requests

Group: Míriel & Daurin | Tórin, Míriel Þerindë | Míriel Serindë, Daurin | Tórin
Míriel and Daurin, together and separately, are a couple of very intriguing characters for me. We know that Daurin was Fëanor's kinsman and it's a pretty firm headcanon of mine that it was Míriel he was related to rather than Finwë. So what was he to Míriel? Brother, uncle, cousin? Why did he come to Valinor? What was their life like at Cuiviénen? I'd also love to hear about Míriel's personality and talents -- I choose the 'Character Study' tag with her in mind. I have a sort of half-formed headcanon that she came to Valinor because it allowed her greater possibilities for her work. She strikes me as someone who was very driven and focused, very passionate about the works of her hands (and Fëanor gets that from her), in an entirely positive sense.

I'm particularly interested in Gil-galad's letter to Tar-Meneldur and what that reveals about both his personality and his attitude toward his role as High King of the Noldor in the Second Age. I've got several worldbuilding tags with these two relationships in mind. (I've used he/his for Gil-galad but I am 110% up for Finduilas-as-Gil-galad scenarios as well.)

Gandalf is one of my favourite characters of all-time, and I want to hear about his "youth" in Aman. I sort of get the impression that he served quite a few of the Valar, searching for a purpose, maybe? His relationship with Nienna especially intrigues me -- how did she teach him pity and patience? Impatient, somewhat pitiless Olórin would be exciting to see!

I'd love a look at these two in the very early days of their relationship, perhaps even pre-Gondolin or Beleriand. Did they know each other in childhood in Valinor? In fact, did Glorfindel, a Vanya, follow the Noldor for the sake of Ecthelion?

I'm very intrigued by this pairing, especially by how they managed to make it work, considering the delicate balance of diplomatic relations that Círdan's got to tread in Beleriand. I'd love a Lalwen here who is far more useful than ornamental, and pragmatic rather than hot-headed.

I headcanon Anairë as being significantly older than Fingolfin, perhaps even a veteran of the Journey. What does she see in him, how do they work together, and ultimately why do they break apart?

I really love the idea of a youthful Fëanor falling for his teacher but also at the same time working on superseding Rúmil's work. And Rúmil can't resist Fëanor, but half the time he's not sure whether to be flattered or insulted....

I speculate that she died either at Alqualondë or shortly thereafter (and so the rumour started that she never left Aman). I'd love to see anything about their relationship, and more about her as a character with a name and a personality.

I'd really love some smutty fic for these two -- it's practically canon that they had an incandescent sex life, at least in the early days. How do they manage a kinky and prolific sex drive with being at the top of their respective professions and increasing numbers of kids?
